Danny Drinkwater has thanked his team-mates for the way he has been able to settle into life at Chelsea FC this season.

The midfielder signed for the west London club from Leicester City in the summer transfer window and he has been making a steady start to life with the Blues.

Drinkwater missed the first few weeks of the season as he recovered from an injury but he is now hoping to play a key role for the Blues between now and the end of the season.

The 27-year-old midfielder has struggled to hold down a starting spot in Antonio Conte’s side so far this term but he will be hoping to earn a regular spot in the team from now on.

And the England international has insisted that he is happy with the way he has been settling into life at Chelsea FC following his move from the Foxes last summer.

Speaking to Chelsea FC’s website, Drinkwater said: “I am feeling good.

“I am working on my strength and I am getting settled in. The lads have been top so it has been quite easy getting used to everything.”

Chelsea FC return to action on Sunday with a crunch clash against Manchester City at The Etihad.

Conte will be aiming to at least steer Chelsea FC to a top-four finish in his second season in charge at the club after they finished as champions last term.
