Chelsea FC’s Eden Hazard sends message to Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane
Eden Hazard discusses his respect for Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane
Eden Hazard has admitted that he is a huge admirer of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, describing the former France star as his footballing idol.
The Belgian playmaker has developed into one of the Premier League’s finest attacking talents at Chelsea FC in recent seasons following his transfer to the west London side from Lille back in 2012.
Hazard has twice won the Premier League title with the Blues and was voted as the PFA player of the year in the 2014-15 campaign.
The 27-year-old has regularly been touted as a potential target for Real Madrid and there is likely to be fresh speculation linking him with a move to Spain in the summer transfer window.
And Hazard’s latest comments about the Real Madrid boss are likely to do nothing to cool down talk of a possible move to the Bernabeu for him in the future.
Hazard is quoted as saying by Metro: “I remember 10 years ago, when he first spoke about me, it was incredible.
“Know that he was my idol when I was a child, I have seen thousands of videos about him and now he is the manager of one of the best clubs in the world, so yes, it is a luxury.
“But I do not want to stop, I want to continue working and striving in the field and then yes, I love when people like him speak well of me.”
Hazard will be expecting to start for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action on Monday night with a home clash against West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea FC are looking to get back to winning ways in the top flight after the disappointment of their back to back losses to Bournemouth and Watford in recent days.
