David De Gea took to Twitter to react to Juan Mata’s disallowed goal in Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

The Spanish goalkeeper was rested for Manchester United’s trip to John Smith’s Stadium as Jose Mouriho gave Sergio Romero some game time.

Manchester United made the breakthrough in the first half through Romelu Lukaku against their Premier League rivals.

Mata appeared to have doubled the visitors’ lead on the stroke of half-time but the Video Assistant referee ruled out Mata’s goal due to an apparent offside.

The decision was close and divided opinion on social media with the Manchester United number one appearing to disagree with the decision.

De Gea appeared to express his dissatisfaction with VAR’s involvement with a simple emoticon on Twitter.

The Manchester United shot stopper posted: “😳”

The disallowed goal didn’t affect the outcome of the FA Cup clash after Lukaku scored his second goal of the game in the 55th minute to secure their passage to the quarter-finals.

Manchester United will take on Spanish side Sevilla in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils are in second place in the Premier League table after losing two of their last three top-flight games.
