Robbie Fowler has revealed his delight at the start Mohamed Salah has made to his Liverpool FC career.

The Egypt international signed for the Reds from Roma in the summer transfer window and his first few months at Anfield have been nothing short of remarkable.

The 25-year-old attacker has scored an impressive 21 goals and made six assists in 25 Premier League games for Liverpool FC so far this season.

He continued his fine form on Sunday afternoon when he scored twice in the thrilling 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

Fowler knows a thing or two about scoring goals for Liverpool FC and the Reds legend has admitted that he has been thrilled with the way Salah has started his Anfield career.

Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website, Fowler said: “He has been phenomenal, he has really hit the ground running. He looks like he’s got goals in him every game; with speed and sharpness he has, he’ll always cause defences a lot of problems.

“I hope it continues. We, as ex-players who are still big Liverpool fans, want him to keep going – we want him to break all the records goings because if he is scoring goals, it means we’re doing the right things.

“Of course, we want other players to chip in as well, but he is certainly doing his part. He is scoring goals and long may it continue.”

Salah will be expecting to feature for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Sunday with a trip to St Mary’s to take on Southampton.

The Reds will take on FC Porto for a place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League later this month after having finished in the top four last term.

The Merseyside outfit finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season.
