Liverpool FC are back in the race to sign Piotr Zielinski from Napoli, according to report in Italy.
Italian outlet Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Mirror is claiming that the Poland international is back on Jurgen Klopp’s radar after they failed to sign him in the past.
The same story says that the 23-year-old midfielder is likely to cost in the region of at least €40m (£35.2m) following his strong form for Napoli so far this season.
The midfielder has scored four goals and made one assist in 23 Serie A games for Napoli so far this season as he continues to push for a regular spot in the first team.
Liverpool FC are likely to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window as the Reds look for a long-term replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who left the club in January.
The same report says that with Emre Can potentially leaving Anfield on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer, the Reds could turn to Zielinski as a possible target.
Liverpool FC are aiming to finish in the top four this season for the second season running under Klopp following their fourth-placed finish last term.
