Dennis Wise: What I find frustrating about Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah
The Chelsea FC legend admits he is disappointed to see Mohamed Salah do so well at Liverpool FC
Dennis Wise has admitted that he is frustrated to see Mohamed Salah do so well after leaving Chelsea FC.
The Egypt international became the 13th player to score 30 goals in a season for Liverpool FC after his goal in Wednesday night’s 5-0 win against Porto in the Champions League.
Salah has netted 22 times in 26 games in the Premier League this season after the African forward continued his incredible record with a first-half goal in a 2-0 win at Southampton last weekend.
Only Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has scored more goals than Salah in the current campaign.
The 25-year-old struggled during an eight-month spell at Chelsea FC in 2014 following an £11m move from Basel under Jose Mourinho.
Salah was sent out on loan to Fiorentina and AS Roma before the Egyptian completed a permanent move to AS Roma in 2016.
Former Chelsea FC captain Wise admits he is disappointed that the Blues are missing out on Salah’s incredible form.
“The frustrating thing is that he was at Chelsea,” Wise told The Debate on Sky Sports.
“You see how well he has done since being loaned out to Fiorentina and Roma – and now performing so well at Liverpool.”
Salah moved to Liverpool FC in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma last summer.
