Pundit pinpoints difference between Mohamed Salah at Chelsea FC and Liverpool FC
The Chelsea FC legend believes Mohamed Salah is shining in the Reds team thanks to Jurgen Klopp's belief in the Egypt international
Dennis Wise believes Jurgen Klopp’s belief in Mohamed Salah has helped the forward to thrive at Liverpool FC.
The Reds signed the Egypt international in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Salah moved back to the Premier League following three seasons in the Italian top flight after his disappointing eight-month spell at Chelsea FC in 2014.
The African forward struggled to make an impression under Jose Mourinho before Salah was sent out on loan to Fiorentian in August 2014.
Salah has been a sensation in the Premier League this season following an impressive return of 22 goals in 27 games in the English top flight this term.
The 25-year-old became the 13th Liverpool FC player to score 30 goals in a season following his strike in the Reds’ 5-0 win at Porto in the Champions League last week.
Former Chelsea FC captain Wise believes Klopp’s faith in Salah has helped to propel the Egypt international to Premier League stardom this term.
“Sometimes players go in there and it doesn’t work,” Wise told Sky Sports. “The manager doesn’t fancy you. Certain players are preferred over you.
“The belief from the manager in the player. Klopp has taken him under his wing to allow him to perform.”
Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League and two points behind Manchester United in the top-four race.
Only Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has scored more goals than Salah in the Premier League this term.
