The Egypt international has proved to be one of the signings of the season this term following his sparkling form for the Reds following his move from Roma last summer.
Salah continued his fine goal-scoring form when he netted from the penalty spot in Liverpool FC’s 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
The 25-year-old has now scored 19 Premier League goals and made six assists in the top flight for Jurgen Klopp’s side so far this season.
And former Liverpool FC captain Gerrard has admitted that he has been thrilled with how well the attacker has been adapting to life back in the Premier League with the Reds.
Speaking to BT Sport on Tuesday night, Gerrard said: “This fella has been on fire this season. He’s scoring, his confidence is high.
“He stepped up [against Huddersfield] and it was a good penalty.”
Salah will be hoping to feature for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Sunday with a crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification for the second straight season under Klopp.
Liverpool FC will take on FC Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.
