Roberto Firmino explains why he is such a huge fan of Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp
Roberto Firmino has heaped praise on Jurgen Klopp for the work he is doing at Liverpool FC.
The German manager was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ permanent successor at Anfield back in October 2015 and he successfully led the Reds to a top-four finish in the Premier League last season.
The Merseyside outfit will once again be aiming to try and break back into the top four this season and secure a place in next term’s Champions League.
Firmino has been a regular fixture in the first team at Anfield this season and he will be hoping to play a big role in helping the Reds qualify for Europe.
Liverpool FC are also preparing for their Champions League last 16 clash against FC Porto as they bid to make it through to the quarter-finals.
And the Brazilian forward has now spoken about his admiration for the German manager following his first few years working under Klopp at Anfield.
Speaking to Brazilian publication Esporte, Firmino said: “Klopp is a fantastic guy.
“I rate him as an extremely professional coach, a perfectionist, with a winning mentality.
“He came to Liverpool after building a beautiful history in Borussia Dortmund and has done a beautiful job here in England.
“I’m sure Klopp will be marked in the history of world football for his work and achievements.”
Liverpool FC will take on Porto in Portugal in the first leg of their last 16 clash in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season.
