Jurgen Klopp raves about Liverpool FC star ahead of West Ham clash
Jurgen Klopp praises Sadio Mane for his strong form for Liverpool FC in recent weeks
Jurgen Klopp has lavished praise on Sadio Mane following his strong form for Liverpool FC in recent weeks.
The Senegal international was the star of the show as he netted a hat-trick to help the Reds claim a 5-0 victory over FC Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League in Portugal last week.
The forward has been finding his form in recent weeks and has been catching the eye with a number of impressive displays for Klopp’s side.
The Reds will be hoping that Mane can continue his strong displays in the coming weeks and months as they look to secure a top-four finish for the second season running under Klopp.
And the German manager has revealed his delight at the way Mane has been training and performing for the Reds in recent weeks.
Speaking to Liverpool FC’s website, Reds boss Klopp said: “Sadio had good games. He had a really good game against Manchester City not so long ago. It’s only that it was not his constant level that we are used to seeing.
“You think of Sadio Mane and he is very decisive, controls the ball well, he is a threat all the time for the other team, works hard and all that stuff.
“He has worked hard. For five or six weeks he has trained at a constantly high level. That’s the only way to come back into shape.”
Mane will be hoping to start for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon with a home clash against West Ham United at Anfield.
The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification once again under Klopp.
