Dietmar Hamann sends warning to Tottenham about ‘settled’ Liverpool FC
The Reds legend believes Liverpool FC are a more settled side than the team that Spurs thrashed 4-1 at Wembley last October

Dietmar Hamann has warned Tottenham Hotspur that Liverpool FC are a more settled team now than the Reds side that lost 4-1 at Wembley back in October.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will make the long trip to Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday buoyed by their impressive 2-0 victory over Manchester United at Wembley on Wednesday night.
Tottenham will know that a win at Anfield would see Spurs hoist themselves above Liverpool FC and into the Premier League’s top four as the race to secure a Champions League spot continues to intensify.
The Reds lost 4-1 to the north London side at Wembley back in October in a humiliating Sunday afternoon for Jurgen Klopp’s side that saw centre-half Dejan Lovren substituted after 32 minutes.
Liverpool FC signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in the January transfer window to reinforce their back four after the Reds made the Southampton captain the most expensive defender in the world.
Former Reds midfielder Hamann believes Tottenham will find Liverpool FC a tougher proposition at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
“I think they’re probably a bit more settled,” Hamann told Tag Heuer.
“They’ve got Van Dijk someone who gives them stability at the back but I still think it’s a big ask to beat Spurs at home.”
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
Tottenham have finished above Liverpool FC in the last two Premier League campaigns in second and third spot.
