Gary Neville sends blunt message to Tottenham about Liverpool FC clash
The Manchester United legend has urged Tottenham Hotspur to produce a performance at the home of their top-six rivals Liverpool FC on Sunday

Gary Neville has urged Tottenham Hotspur to prove that they are capable of producing a top performance at the home of a top-six rival when Spurs make the trip to Liverpool FC on Sunday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side were impressive in a 2-0 win against second-placed Manchester United at Wembley on Wednesday night after Christian Eriksen broke the deadlock after just 11 seconds.
Spurs are in fifth place in the Premier League table and two points behind Chelsea and Liverpool FC, who occupy the final two Champions League qualifying spots.
Tottenham lost 2-0 to Arsenal in the north London derby at The Emirates despite their impressive start to the campaign.
The Lilywhites were unusually subdued during a 1-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford back in Old Trafford to fall off the pace in the title race.
Former Red Devils defender Neville is desperate to see Tottenham put in a commanding performance at the home of one of their top-six rivals ahead of their trip to Liverpool FC on Sunday.
“I want to see Tottenham turn up and play [at Anfield],” Neville told The Debate on Sky Sports.
“They were disappointing at Arsenal and Man United. You can’t separate them.
“It’s a huge game for both of them.”
Tottenham have finished above Liverpool FC in the past two seasons.
However, Spurs are still waiting to win their first piece of silverware under Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham were 4-1 winners against Liverpool FC at Wembley back in October.
