Leon Bailey has insisted that he wants to stay at Bayer Leverkusen for the time being as he continues to be linked with the likes of Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC.

The 20-year-old attacker has been earning rave reviews for his performances for the German side in recent weeks and has scored nine goals and made five assists in 20 Bundesliga games so far this season.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal, Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC and Manchester United have all shown an interest in landing the Jamaican winger in recent months.

However, it would seem that the player himself is keen to stay in the Bundesliga and gain some more experience with Leverkusen before considering a transfer away to another club.

Baily told German newspaper Bild: “Leverkusen is perfect for me. I want to develop and then I can take the next step.

“When I move to a big club, the people there will want to know me. I want to make a name for myself at the highest level.”

Bailey has been in great form this season for the German side, scoring 11 goals in all competitions.

Liverpool FC are likely to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window following the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last month.

Chelsea FC will also be looking ahead to the summer transfer window as a chance to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
