Liverpool FC have turned their attentions towards signing Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Reds are setting their sights on concluding a deal to land the 20-year-old attacker from the German club as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his attacking options at Anfield.
The same report says that Bailey has attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham in recent months.
However, Liverpool FC are now thought to be well in the race to sign the Jamaican winger, and that means that they no longer hold an interest in Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.
The same story says that Liverpool FC now believe that Lemar is heading elsewhere and that he could be set to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
The report also claims that Bailey will not come cheap, because German club will demand around £100m for the speedy attacker.
Bailey has scored eight goals and made five assists in 19 Bundesliga games for Leverkusen so far this season.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their Champions League trip to FC Porto in the last 16 on Wednesday night.
