Mohamed Salah has poured cold water on reports that he could be set to quit Liverpool FC to sign for Real Madrid in the near future.

The Egypt international has been in sensational form for the Reds since his move to Anfield from Italian side Roma in the summer transfer window.

Salah has been a regular threat up front for the Reds and has scored 21 goals and made six assists in the Premier League so far this season.

The attacker’s form has prompted speculation that Real Madrid could be set to try and make a move to sign him in the summer transfer window.

However, the 25-year-old has now insisted that he has happy with life on Merseyside and that he has no intention of quitting Liverpool FC any time soon.

Salah told Spanish newspaper Marca: “At the moment I am here.

“I want to concentrate on my team and finish the season very well. Why do you think they say these things? I don’t have much to say about that [reports linking him with Real].

“If I have to say something, I’ll say I’m happy at Liverpool.”

Salah will be expecting to feature for Liverpool FC when the Reds return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon with a trip to St Mary’s to take on Southampton.

The Reds are aiming to get back to winning ways in the top flight after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Tottenham at Anfield last weekend.

Liverpool FC are currently third in the Premier League table.
