Dani Ceballos has told Real Madrid that he wants to sign for Liverpool FC this summer, according to reports
Dani Ceballos has told Real Madrid that he has his heart set on a transfer to Liverpool FC this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet El Chiringuito, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is claiming that the 21-year-old midfielder now wants to move to Anfield in the summer transfer window after being denied a switch in January.
The same report says that Ceballos could be a direct replacement for Emre Can, whose contract at Liverpool FC is set to expire at the end of the season.
The German midfielder could be on his way out of the Merseyside outfit, meaning that Ceballos could be a quality replacement for Can at Anfield.
According to the same story, Ceballos has informed Real Madrid that he would like to sign for Liverpool FC this summer.
Ceballos has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot at Real Madrid this season, with the Spanish defensive midfielder having only started two La Liga games for them so far this term, scoring two goals.
The Reds are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the summer transfer window draws nearer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their home Premier League clash against West Ham United at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
