Antonio Conte has warned his Chelsea FC team to expect a tough physical challenge at Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues have the opportunity to move level on points with Manchester United if the defending champions manage to beat the Old Trafford side.

Chelsea FC squandered a 1-0 lead to draw 1-1 with La Liga leaders Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 clash at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

Manchester United, meanwhile, produced a disappointing performance in a goalless draw with Spanish side Sevilla ahead of this weekend’s top-four clash at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils lost 1-0 to the Premier League title holders earlier in the season following Alvaro Morata’s second-half winner at Stamford Bridge back in October.

Speaking at his pre-match media conference ahead of Chelsea FC’s trip to Manchester United at the Blues’ Cobham training ground on Friday, Conte said:

“When you play against Manchester United you have to know that anything can happen.

“They have a great physicality and there is the risk to lose the game, they are a really strong team. It is a massive game for us, we have to do the best to try and get three points.”

Chelsea FC are in fourth place in the Premier League table but three points behind Manchester United, who are Manchester City’s closest challengers.

The Red Devils have lost two of their last three Premier League games following defeats at Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United were 2-0 winners against Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford in their last home game.
