Mohamed Salah opens up about conversation with Man United manager Jose Mourinho
The Liverpool FC forward discusses his relationship with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho
Mohamed Salah has lifted the lid on his conversation with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho following their goalless stalemate with Liverpool FC at Anfield back in October.
The Egypt interntional secured a return to the Premier League last summer after Liverpool FC signed the 25-year-old in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma last summer.
Salah previously spent eight months at Chelsea FC after the African winger opted to move to Stamford Bridge ahead of Anfield in an £11m deal in the 2014 January transfer window.
However, the former Basel man failed to make an impression at the west London side under Mourinho and was sent out on loan to Fiorentina before moving to AS Roma.
Salah has been one of the Premier League’s top players this term following a return of 21 goals in 26 games in the current campaign.
Indeed, only Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has made a greater impression in the 2017-18 Premier League season than Salah.
Asked about his relationship with Manchester United boss Mourinho during an interview with Four Four Two, Salah said:
“We talked at Chelsea when I first came back from the loan spell at Fiorentina.
“We also spoke after the match against Manchester United this season and have a good relationship. We didn’t talk much , but it was OK.
“Three years ago I didn’t play much, but since day one back in England I wanted to show what I can do. I think I’m doing well.”
Salah will be hoping to fire Liverpool FC past Portuguese giants FC Porto and into the Champions League round of eight later this month.
