Jamie Redknapp warns Jose Mourinho about ‘war’ with Man United
The Liverpool FC legend tells Jose Mourinho about the perils of going to war with Man United record signing Paul Pogba

Jose Mourinho is risking starting a war with Manchester United record signing Paul Pogba, Jamie Redknapp has claimed.
The Red Devils boss has been critical of the French midfielder’s recent performances in the middle of the park alongside summer signing Nemanja Matic.
Pogba struggled during Manchester United’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley last month before he was taken off midway through the second half in north London.
Mourinho left Pogba out of his starting line-up for the Red Devils’ 2-0 win against promoted side Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford.
The club record signing was restored to the Manchester United team for the trip to Newcastle United but Pogba was substituted following his role in the Magpies’ winner at St James’ Park.
Mourinho signed Pogba in an £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in 2016 but the powerful midfielder has struggled to replicate his Serie A form at Old Trafford.
Former Liverpool FC and Tottenham midfielder Redknapp warned Mourinho about the perils of starting a feud with Pogba.
“Mourinho is asking for a war now with current players,” Redknapp told The Debate on Sky Sports on Tuesday night.
“With Pogba’s power in that dressing room, Mourinho has got to be very careful. I don’t see the benefit in upsetting one of your star players.”
Pogba won the Europa League and the League Cup in his first season back at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils sold Pogba in an £800,000 deal to Juventus in 2012.
