The Manchester United midfielder was in a reflective mood on Instagram amid uncertainty surrounding his future
Paul Pogba appeared to drop a hint that his future at Manchester United is far from certain on Instagram on Wednesday night.
The France international moved to the Red Devils in a club record £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.
Pogba returned to Manchester United after he established himself as one of Europe’s top midfielders following four Serie A titles with Juventus.
The 24-year-old has failed to recreate his Juventus form at Manchester United despite winning the Europa League and the League Cup last term.
Pogba made a promising start to the 2017-18 season with two goals and two assists in their opening four Premier League games.
The French midfielder missed two months due to a hamstring problem and Pogba has struggled since his comeback.
Pogba was prematurely substituted in Manchester United’s losses to Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur in their last two Premier League games on the road.
Mourinho omitted Pogba from his Manchester United starting line-up for Wednesday night’s 0-0 draw with Sevilla in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.
The Frenchman came off the bench to replace injured Ander Herrera midway through the first half.
And Pogba was in a philosophical mood just hours after the stalemate following Mourinho’s snub in Seville.
Pogba wrote on his Instagram page: “God’s plan 🙏🏾”
