Paul Scholes identifies four Man United stars who have struggled
The Manchester United legend singles out four players who have struggled in recent weeks for the Red Devils
Paul Scholes has singled out four Manchester United players for criticism under Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils have struggled with some inconsistent performances over the past couple of months.
Manchester United lost 2-0 to top-six rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley last month to open up the top-four race.
The Red Devils bounced back with a 2-0 win over promoted side Huddersfield Town in a dogged performance at Old Trafford.
However, Premier League strugglers Newcastle United were 1-0 winners against Manchester United at St James’ Park earlier this month.
Jose Mourinho’s side secured their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals thanks to a 2-0 victory at Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon.
Pogba has been criticised for his poor performances after he was substituted during the Red Devils’ loss to Newcastle and Tottenham.
However, former Manchester United star Scholes named four players who have been disappointing over the past month or so.
“Pogba is not the only one in this United team [not performing],” Scholes told BT Sport. “The two centre-halves have struggled. And Nemanja Matic has struggled.”
Manchester United will make the trip to Spain to take on La Liga side Sevilla in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils will take on Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup quarter-finals at Old Trafford on Saturday 17 March.
