The Red Devils returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday when they secured a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have been buoyed by the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last month and the Red Devils will now be hoping to string together a consistent series of results as they bid to try and finish as close to Manchester City in the table as possible.
Jose Mourinho’s men are currently in second place in the Premier League table and 13 points behind leaders Manchester City as they bid to try and end the campaign in positive fashion.
And Red Devils defender Valencia has stressed the importance of Manchester United finding some consistent form ahead of their trip to Newcastle United this weekend.
Speaking to Manchester United’s website, Valencia said: “We need to keep fighting until the end – we need to keep going.
“A few years ago, we lost a title when we were eight points ahead and there were only a few games left.
“Now, we have a lot more games to play and we need to keep fighting.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but managed to win both the Europa League and League Cup in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge.
The Red Devils have not won the title since 2013.
