Manchester United are stepping up their interest in signing Jean Michael Seri from Nice this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are closely monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation as the doubts about Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford continue to mount.

The same report says that the Red Devils have made a new approach to Seri’s representatives to sound out the possibility of a move to Manchester United this summer.

The story also claims that Pogba could be ready to end his second spell at Manchester United after just two years at the Old Trafford outfit.

According to the same article, Manchester United have been tracking Ivory Coast international Seri for “many months” and they have a strong interest in bringing him to the Premier League this summer.

Seri has been a regular fixture in the Nice team so far this season, scoring one goal and making three assists in 20 Ligue 1 games for the French side.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League clash against Chelsea FC at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the game on the back of their goalless draw with Sevilla in the Champions League in midweek.
