Talented 18-year-old responds to reports Man United want to sign him this summer
Justin Kluivert responds to reports he could be set for a move to Manchester United this summer
Justin Kluivert has insisted that he is not ready for a transfer to Manchester United and has not held talks with Jose Mourinho.
The 18-year-old has been touted as a possible target for the Red Devils in recent days as attentions begin to turn towards the summer transfer window and some potential new arrivals at Old Trafford.
The Ajax starlet has been in top form for the Dutch club this season and he has scored five goals and made three assists in 17 league games so far this term.
However, Kluivert, who is the son of Barcelona legend Patrick, has insisted that he is not thinking about a possible transfer to Manchester United at the moment.
Teenager Kluivert is quoted as saying by Metro: “I have heard the rumours but I haven’t spoken to Mourinho.
“A move to Manchester United wouldn’t make sense, for now.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their trip to Newcastle United in the top flight next weekend.
The Red Devils return to winning ways on Saturday by claiming a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield to keep themselves within 13 points of leaders Manchester City.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but won the Europa League and League Cup in Jose Mourinho’s first campaign in charge at the club.
