Manchester United are hoping to tie up a deal to sign Justin Kluivert from Ajax this summer, say reports
Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Justin Kluivert from Ajax, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are very keen on bringing the 18-year-old winger to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.
The same report says that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has known Kluivert, the son of Patrick, since he was a little boy.
The story also claims that Manchester United now appear to be ready to agree a fee of around £10m plus add-ons to secure the signing of the teenager from Ajax in the summer transfer window.
The article says that the teenager is “excited” about the prospect of moving to the Premier League, and a deal could be agreed before the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Manchester United closed the gap to Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table down to 13 points with their 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The Red Devils now switch their attentions towards their Premier League trip to Newcastle United at St James’ Park next weekend.
Manchester United will take on Spanish side Sevilla in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.
