The French midfielder has been settling into life back at Old Trafford since returning to the Red Devils from Juventus in the summer of 2016.
However, Pogba has come in for criticism in recent weeks for failing to produce consistent performances for the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho.
Indeed, the 24-year-old was at fault as Manchester United conceded against Newcastle United in last weekend’s 1-0 defeat by the Magpies at St James’ Park.
Mourinho clearly was not impressed and he chose to substitute the midfielder immediately after the Red Devils had conceded the goal.
And former Chelsea FC striker Sutton feels that Pogba has not shown the discipline needed to be considered as a top midfield player.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Sutton said: “What I can’t understand about Pogba is Man United spend so much money on a player – but how he can’t be disciplined?”
Pogba will be hoping to feature for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to FA Cup action on Saturday evening with a home clash against Huddersfield Town at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they try and get as close to Manchester City as possible.
