Paul Pogba is keeping himself in high spirits and insists that Man United can bounce back stronger
Paul Pogba has taken to social media to insist that Manchester United will bounce back stronger than ever after their 2-0 loss to Tottenham in midweek.
The French midfielder started the game at Wembley as the Red Devils were thoroughly outplayed by Mauricio Pochettino’s side in north London.
Christian Eriksen’s early strike and an own-goal by Phil Jones condemned Jose Mourinho’s men to defeat and left them 15 points behind leaders Manchester City in the table.
Pogba will be hoping to help Manchester United return to winning ways in the Premier League when Mourinho’s side host Huddersfield Town in the top flight on Saturday afternoon.
And Pogba was feeling in a reflective mood in the build-up to the game as he bids to help Manchester United get their campaign back on track.
The midfielder posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Once upon a time… 6 years ago I played my first official match with our team 👊🏾 Disappointed with yesterday’s result bt we’ll come back stronger. #wecanalwaysdobetter @manchesterunited #mufc.”
Manchester United will return to Champions League action later this month when they take on Spanish side Sevilla for a place in the quarter-finals.
Mourinho led the Red Devils to Europa League glory in his first campaign in charge at Old Trafford last season, as well as guiding them to League Cup glory at Wembley.
