Roy Keane sends message to Man United fans ahead of Chelsea FC clash
Roy Keane claims that Manchester United are still lacking something ahead of their clash with Chelsea FC on Sunday
Roy Keane has claimed that Manchester United are still playing like a team of “individuals” as they prepare for their showdown with Chelsea FC at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils head into the game looking to get their Premier League form back on track after they lost two of their last three games in the top flight.
Manchester United warmed up for their clash against Chelsea FC on Sunday with a goalless draw against Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Chelsea FC, meanwhile, earned a 1-1 draw with FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Manchester United appear to still be finding their feet under Jose Mourinho, and Keane feels that there is still something lacking in the Red Devils team.
Speaking to ITV Sport on Wednesday night, Keane said: “I still look at United and they still look as if they are getting used to each other, all playing as individuals.
“They are still lacking something. There is a responsibility when you are playing for a big club like United to have a style over the years, but there was big damage done to United over the last few years going back to the change of manager when Alex Ferguson left and it’s almost as if they are taking baby steps.
“They won a couple of trophies last season, if they get through this (tie against Sevilla), they have a good FA Cup draw, they are taking small steps.”
Manchester United head into the game in second place in the Premier League table as they look to try and get as close to Manchester City as possible.
Chelsea FC, meanwhile, are currently in fourth place as they at least seek a top four finish in Antonio Conte’s second season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
