Roy Keane offers Paul Pogba some blunt Man United advice
Roy Keane tells Paul Pogba to focus on football following his poor displays for Manchester United
Roy Keane has told Paul Pogba to focus on football and stepping his game up for Manchester United this season.
The French midfielder has come in for some criticism in recent weeks following some inconsistent displays for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Indeed, the Portuguese coach opted to take Pogba off just seconds after Manchester United conceded to Newcastle United in Sunday’s Premier League defeat at St James’ Park.
It seems that the 24-year-old is still struggling to find his best form in a Manchester United shirt and it is something he will be hoping to put right in the coming weeks.
However, former Manchester United captain Keane believes that Pogba needs to do more to prove himself as one of the top midfielders in world football.
Speaking to ITV Sport, Keane said: “If you are going to play in midfield, you should be able to play in a two or a three.
“The guy needs to do better himself and focus on what football is really about.”
Manchester United return to FA Cup action on Saturday when they take on Huddersfield Town in the fifth round of the competition.
The Red Devils are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they look to try and finish as close to leaders Manchester City as possible in the top flight table.
Manchester United won both the Europa League and League Cup last season after finishing in sixth place in the table.
