Alex Sandro has insisted that he remains “focused” on performing for Juventus despite the speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United or Chelsea FC.

The Brazilian left-back was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer but a switch for the 27-year-old failed materialise.

Chelsea FC ended up bolstering their options at left-back with the signing of Emerson Palmieri from Roma in January, so it remains to be seen whether the west London side will revisit a possible deal for Sandro.

Metro reports that Manchester United “retain a strong interest” in the Brazilian ahead of the summer transfer window.

But for the time being at least, the player himself seems to be fully focused on just performing for the Serie A side.

Sandro told Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by Metro: “I have always remained focused on my work and my only thought has always been Juventus, with whom I still have two years of contract.

“I feel really good and I am satisfied with my condition today.

“My goal is first of all to win everything with Juventus. Then the World Cup will come and I hope to deserve a call in the Selecao by doing well here”

Manchester United are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the summer transfer window draws ever nearer.

The Red Devils are currently preparing for the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash against Sevilla in Spain on Wednesday night as they look to try and take a step closer towards the quarter-finals of the competition.
