The Red Devils are in the market to sign a midfielder in the summer to strengthen their options in the middle of the park.
Club record signing Paul Pogba has been criticised for his ineffective performances in the Manchester United team over the past few months.
Eriksen, on the other hand, has been in excellent form and got on the score sheet in a 2-0 win over the Red Devils at Wembley at the end of January.
The 26-year-old has scored three goals and has made three assists in the last 10 appearances in all competitions.
Reports in the English media over the past week have linked the Denmark international with a potential move to Premier League rivals Manchester United.
While Eriksen’s agent admitted that it was flattering to see Manchester United linked with the Danish star, Martin Schoots refused to shed light on the apparent interest.
“I don’t comment on rumours much,” Schoots told Danish newspaper BT. “But when clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United are mentioned, it’s always a compliment.
“Since Christian was 14-years-old, big clubs have shown interest. The first were Chelsea, AC Milan and Barcelona, since then there has been no transfer window without any offer or interest.”
Manchester United signed Chile international Alexis Sanchez in a swap deal from north London side Arsenal in the 2018 January transfer window.
Eriksen has scored seven goals and has made seven assists in 27 games in the Premier League this term.
