Man United star to win new contract before end of the season – report

Man United are ready to offer Luke Shaw a new contract at Manchester United, according to reports

Luke Shaw is in line to get a new and improved Manchester United contract before the end of the season, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the England left-back appears to have now won over Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford after initially struggling to impress the Portuguese coach.

The same report says that Shaw currently has 18 months left on his contract at Old Trafford and that he is earning around £80,000 a week.

Now though, the Red Devils are set to be keen to tie the England international down to improved terms before the end of the season after his recent impressive displays for Manchester United.

Manchester United took up the option to extend Shaw’s current deal for a further year into the summer of 2019, but they are now also reportedly keen on extending his contract once again.

Shaw has started six Premier League games for Manchester United so far this season and will be hoping to hold down a regular spot in the first team between now and the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their trip to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
