Cesar Azpilicueta looks ahead to Chelsea FC's trip to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon
Cesar Azpilicueta has warned his Chelsea FC team-mates that they must take their showdown with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday incredibly seriously.
The Blues head into this weekend’s round of fixtures in fourth place in the Premier League table but they are currently only one point ahead of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
Chelsea FC are heading to Old Trafford on the back of their 1-1 draw with FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash at at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
Manchester United, meanwhile, warmed up for the Premier League clash with a goalless draw against Sevilla in Spain in the first leg of their Champions League tie on Wednesday night.
Chelsea FC will be desperate to try and claim the three points at Old Trafford on Sunday as the Blues look to try and finish in the top four this season.
Manchester United are currently in second place but their form in the top flight has been stuttering in recent weeks, with the Red Devils having lost two of their last three games in the top flight.
Looking ahead to the game, Azpilicueta told Chelsea FC’s website: “The next game is always the most important because it’s where you can get the three points.
“At the moment we are getting closer and closer to the end of the season, so we have to get the points.”
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title under Antonio Conte last term, while Manchester United ended up sixth.
