Gary Neville reacts to Paul Pogba’s display in Man United’s 1-0 loss to Newcastle
Gary Neville was less than impressed by Paul Pogba's performance for Man United against Newcastle on Sunday

Gary Neville was not impressed by Paul Pogba’s performance during Manchester United’s 1-0 loss at Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The French midfielder appeared to pick up an injury in the warm-up before the game but still played the first half at St James’ Park.
Pogba stayed on beyond half-time and he was at fault in the build-up to Matt Ritchie’s goal for Newcastle United in the 65th minute on Tyneside.
The France international was immediately substituted by Jose Mourinho after the Red Devils conceded the goal midway through the second half and he cut a disconsolate figure on the bench afterwards.
And former Manchester United defender Neville was clearly not impressed by Pogba’s contribution, criticising the midfielder for continuing to play if he was indeed injured.
Speaking during Sky Sports’ coverage of the game, Neville said: “I have to say, Pogba at the back post… it’s poor.
“He doesn’t even challenge for the first ball and they just keep it alive. It sums up his afternoon.”
He added: “He looks like he’s about to cry. He got injured in the warm-up before the match and had to come off.
“He’s not doing anyone any favours including his team and himself [by playing on].”
The Magpies held on to claim all three points and send the Red Devils crashing to another disappointing defeat.
Manchester United remain in second place in the Premier League table as they chase a spot in the Champions League for next season.
The Red Devils will be back in action on Saturday night when they travel to Huddersfield Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League under Jose Mourinho last season.
