Jamie Carragher was left stunned on Twitter after Chelsea FC slumped to a humiliating 4-1 loss to London rivals Watford on Monday night.

The Blues made the trip to Vicarage Road looking to avoid successive Premier League losses following a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge last time out.

However, Chelsea were reduced to 10 men in the 30th minute after Tiemoue Bakayoko earned a second yellow card following a dismal performance from the summer signing.

Troy Deeney broke the deadlock in the first half from the penalty spot when Thibaut Courtous’ rash challenge brought down Gerard Deulofeu.

Chelsea FC levelled in the 80th minute thanks to Eden Hazard’s long-range strike but Watford hit back minutes later thanks to Darryl Janmaat’s superb goal.

The Hornets polished off three points thanks to late efforts from Deulofeu and Roberto Pereyra in the final two minutes.

Former Liverpool defender Carragher couldn’t disguise his shock at Chelsea FC’s collapse.

Carragher wrote on Twitter: “Wow! 3-1 #WATCHE”

The ex-Reds defender was also critical of Bakayoko’s performance on Twitter.

Carragher added: “Bakayoko Red! Chelsea will now improve!! #WATCHE”

Chelsea FC are in fourth place in the Premier League table but a mere point ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues will take on La Liga giants Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16 next month.
