Alexandre Lacazette seemed to be in high spirits as returned to Arsenal training this week following a lay-off with a knee injury.

The French striker has been out of action in recent weeks after suffering a knee injury during the 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at Wembley on 10 February.

However, the forward is now closing in on a return to action as he bids to prove his fitness to Arsene Wenger ahead of Sunday’s clash with Stoke City at The Emirates.

Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table as they look to try and get their campaign back on track with a series of positive results.

Lacazette was joined in training on Monday at London Colney by January signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is continuing to settle into life in north London following his January move from Borussia Dortmund.

The north London side will also take on CSKA Moscow in the Europa League quarter-finals next week at The Emirates.

Winning the Europa League is likely to be Arsenal’s best hope of qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Here are some of the best pictures from Arsenal’s latest training session at London Colney this week.
