The Daily Mirror is claiming that Rodgers is one of a number of possible candidates to take over from Wenger this summer should the north London side decide to part company with their long-serving manager.
Wenger has found himself under increasing pressure in recent weeks following the Gunners’ failure to find consistent form this season.
Arsenal were beaten 3-0 by Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday and they currently find themselves in sixth place in the Premier League table and way off the pace in the race for a top-four finish.
According to the same story, Arsenal are considering a move for Celtic boss Rodgers, who was sacked by Liverpool FC and replaced by Jurgen Klopp back in October 2015.
The same report says that Germany boss Joachim Low and Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta are among the other candidates that Arsenal may consider this summer.
Meanwhile, Wenger will be hoping to see his Arsenal side return to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Manchester City at The Emirates on Thursday night.
