The Daily Mail is reporting that the north London side are looking into a deal to sign the 21-year-old Turkey defender this summer as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his squad during the off-season.
The same report says that Arsenal’s new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is weighing up a summer move for the centre-half.
However, the story also says that Freiburg are reluctant to sell and that they value the defender at around £30m ahead of the summer transfer window.
The same article claims that Soyuncu’s progress this season has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC and AS Roma in recent months.
The defender has been in good form this season and has netted one goal in 21 Bundesliga games for the German side so far this term.
Arsenal are likely to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements this summer after the Gunners have struggled to produce consistent form all season.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are preparing to host Stoke City in the Premier League at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
