The Blues head into the game on the back of their 1-1 draw with the Spanish side at Stamford Bridge last month in the first leg, when Lionel Messi cancelled out Willian’s opener in west London.
Chelsea FC have struggled for form in the Premier League since then but they bounced back to winning ways in the top flight when they beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The west London side will be hoping that they can beat the Spanish giants to book their place in the last quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition.
Conte is under no illusions about the size of the task which awaits his team but he has told his players that they must make sure that they take their chances at Camp Nou.
Speaking at a news conference after Chelsea FC’s clash with Palace on Saturday, Conte said: “We must be very good but when you play against this type of team, which I think is one of the best in the world, you must be prepared to suffer, in the same way we did in the first leg, where I think we were almost perfect.
“This is not a [Chelsea] team with great experience, we have a lot of players who are playing their first or second season in the Champions League, but we have to work as a team and try to be ready to suffer the moments we have to suffer, and in every moment we have to know that we can have a chance to score.”
Chelsea FC are aiming to at least break back into the top four this season in the Premier League.
However, the west London side are facing an uphill battle to get back into the Champions League spots, with Conte’s men currently four points behind fourth-placed Liverpool FC with eight games left to play.
