David Luiz is clearly working hard to prove a point to Antonio Conte as he looks to try and break back into the Chelsea FC first team.

The Brazilian defender has struggled for form and fitness this season and has failed to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Stamford Bridge under Conte this term.

Indeed, the 30-year-old has only made nine Premier League starts for Chelsea FC this term and he has not featured since the 4-1 loss to Watford in the top flight back in February.

It remains to be seen whether Luiz has a long-term future at Stamford Bridge or not following his severe lack of playing time at the club this season.

But it seems that he is determined to prove his fitness to Conte as he bids to break back into the team before the end of the season.

Luiz posted the picture above on his personal Instagram story on Wednesday as he prepared to work on his fitness levels at Chelsea FC’s Cobham training base in the swimming pool.

The defender will be hoping to be involved when the west London side return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
