Alvaro Morata has taken to social media to reveal his delight at helping Chelsea FC claim a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Spanish striker started the game on the bench but came on for the closing stages as Antonio Conte’s men notched up an important Premier League victory in front of their home fans.

Morata was left on the bench for the start of the game as Conte opted to play January signing Olivier Giroud ahead of the Spanish forward.

It remains to be seen whether Morata will feature from the start for the Blues when the west London side return to Champions League action with a crunch clash against FC Barcelona at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.

But it seemed that the 25-year-old Morata was just happy to play his part in helping Chelsea FC to finally bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League.

Morata posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Back to winning! Thanks for the support! Good night! Go Chelsea!!!”

Chelsea FC now turn their attentions towards their crunch showdown with FC Barcelona after the two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 game last month at Stamford Bridge.
