The Belgian playmaker featured from the start and played 88 minutes against the Eagles as Chelsea FC finally returned to winning ways in the Premier League.
Hazard has been in good form this season but he struck a lonely figure as he was deployed up front along in the 1-0 loss to Manchester City earlier this month.
However, Conte was clearly impressed by Hazard’s performance as he singled out the Belgian for praise in his post-match news conference at Stamford Bridge.
Conte said: “Eden played a good game and he had chances to score but we didn’t take a lot of the chances we created.
“The commitment of all my players was good so we must be very happy.”
Chelsea FC now turn their attentions back towards Champions League affairs and their crunch trip to FC Barcelona on Wednesday night.
The Blues head into the game after having drawn the first leg at Stamford Bridge 1-1 last month.
Chelsea FC’s win over Crystal Palace still left them in fifth place in the Premier League table and facing an uphill battle to break back into the top four this season.
The Blues won the title last term under Conte but have struggled to find consistent form in the top flight this time around.
