Antonio Conte has confirmed that Ross Barkley is back available for selection again after having struggled with an injury at Chelsea FC in recent weeks.

The midfielder has been settling into life at Stamford Bridge since his January move to the west London club from Everton.

Barkley has not featured for the Blues since the end of January after picking up a muscular injury but he has been working hard on his fitness levels in recent weeks.

The England international is now available for selection once again and Conte has confirmed that he will travel to Manchester with the rest of the Chelsea FC squad ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash at The Etihad.

Speaking at a news conference ahead of Chelsea FC’s clash with City on Friday afternoon at Cobham, Conte said: “Ross Barkley trained with us this week and now he’s recovered from his injury.

“He will come with us [to Manchester] and then I will decide if I find a place on the bench for him, or if he will be in the stand for another week.”

Chelsea FC head into Sunday’s game looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after the disappointment of their 2-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend.

The west London side, who won the title in style last term, are currently outside the top four as they bid to try and break back into the Champions League qualification spots before the season is out.
