Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by Football.London, is claiming that the Blues are set to return for a bid to try and sign the Senegal international this summer as long as Antonio Conte remains in charge at Stamford Bridge.
The same report says that 26-year-old’s impressive performances this season have attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea in recent months.
The story says that Chelsea FC will now return with a fresh bid to try and sign the central defender after having failed with a €58m offer last summer.
The defender is believed to have a release clause in his contract of €70m (£60m), which Napoli will reportedly demand in full.
Koulibaly has been in good form for Napoli this season, scoring four goals and making one assist in 28 Serie A games for the Italian side.
Chelsea FC are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the summer transfer window gives Conte the chance to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
