Alvaro Morata and Emerson Palmieri both looked to be in high spirits as they posed for a picture at Chelsea FC’s Cobham training ground over the weekend.

Morata was left out of the Spain squad for their recent friendly games, leaving the forward to work on his fitness levels at his club over the last few days.

The striker has struggled for both form and fitness in recent months but he netted his first goal of 2018 for the Blues when he helped them to claim a 2-1 win over Leicester City in the FA Cup earlier this month.

Emerson, meanwhile, has been getting used to life at Stamford Bridge after having signed for the Blues from Italian side Roma in the January transfer window.

And the Chelsea FC pair looked to be in high spirits as they took part in a double training session at Cobham this week.

Morata posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Ready for the second training. Vamos chaval @emersonpalmieri33 ⚽️😉.”

Both Emerson and Morata will be hoping to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The west London club are currently in fifth place in the table as they look to try and break back into the top four.
