Lucas Moura has admitted his excitement ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s showdown with Chelsea FC in the Premier League this weekend.

The Blues are preparing to welcome their London rivals to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon as they bid to try and break back into the top four this season.

Chelsea FC are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table and facing an uphill battle to try and get back into the top four before the season is out.

The west London side are currently five points behind Spurs in the table so they will be looking for a victory on Sunday to narrow the gap down to two points.

And Spurs January signing Moura, who arrived from Paris Saint-Germain at the turn of the year, has admitted that he cannot wait for the showdown with the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

“It’s true, it’s a big game and I can’t wait for it,” Moura told Spurs’ website. “I’m excited to be around, to hopefully be involved and I believe firmly that we can win.

“This year we are very good – we’ve had great games against Manchester United, Arsenal and even against Juventus over the two matches, so I’m sure we can produce a great game against Chelsea also because I think we are very, very talented.

“I’ve been waiting for this kind of match. The Premier League is the best league in the world and I’m happy to be here and to hopefully be involved in a London derby like this. It’s a big, big match, I’m excited for it and this week we will all prepare very well for it.”

Chelsea FC won the Premier League title in style last season in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge but they did not have the distraction of European football.

The Blues were knocked out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage by FC Barcelona earlier this month after a 4-1 defeat on aggregate.
