The Blues have come in for significant criticism after their disappointing 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the Premier League at The Etihad on Sunday afternoon.
Antonio Conte chose to set his team up with a defensive mentality but they were unable to keep a clean sheet as Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the game at the start of the second half.
The defeat was a damaging one for Chelsea FC, as it left them five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Champions League qualification this season.
And former Manchester United defender Neville has delivered a blunt warning for the west London side as they prepare for their clash with Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, Neville said: “Antonio Conte will have watched that [match back] this morning. His teams work hard, they’re aggressive, they’re good defensively, they tackle. They know how to play. He’ll as been equally as disgusted [as me].
“One thing I can guarantee you [is that] the Chelsea board room will have watched that performance and will not accept it. It was nowhere near good enough and [it was] unacceptable.”
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title in style last season but they did not have the distraction of any European football at all last term.
The west London side will be desperate to try and break back into the top four before the season is out.
