Willian has told his Chelsea FC team-mates that they now need to show consistency after they returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday.

Willian was named as the man of the match as he helped Chelsea FC claim a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge to help the Blues close the gap on the top four.

Chelsea FC are now in fifth place in the table and four points behind fourth-placed Liverpool FC with eight games left to play this season.

The Blues now switch their attentions towards their crunch showdown with FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Stamford Bridge last month as the Blues look to try and reach the quarter-finals of Europe’s elite club competition.

And the in-form Willian has spoken about the importance of Antonio Conte’s men showing consistency in all competitions between now and the end of the season.

Speaking to BT Sport after Saturday’s win over Palace, Willian said: “I’m happy with my performance and my form.

“I hope to continue like this, but the most important thing is to win the games.

“We have to carry on in this way. We cannot go down any more – we have to stay high.”

Willian will be hoping to start for Chelsea FC when the Blues take on FC Barcelona at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.
