Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard has insisted that he cannot be compared to Lionel Messi.

The 27-year-old Belgian playmaker is widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents and he has been earning huge amounts of praise since his arrival in England from French side Lille back in 2012.

Messi and his FC Barcelona team-mates helped to dump Chelsea FC out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage earlier this month after a 4-1 aggregate victory.

The Argentina international is widely considered to be one of the best players to ever grace a football pitch.

And despite some people having compared Hazard to Messi following his good form at Chelsea FC, the player himself feels that he is nowhere near the Argentine’s level.

Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Chelsea FC star Hazard said: We cannot be compared to Messi.

“It’s impossible. We’re small and we’re quick, but he scores in all the matches.”

Hazard will be expecting to feature for Chelsea FC when the Blues return to Premier League action after the international break with a crunch top-four clash against Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they look to try and break back into the top four before the season is out.
