The Sun, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Brazil international is working on his return to first-team action ahead of Chelsea FC’s next Premier League game.
Luiz has been sidelined with a knee problem since 5 February when the South American suffered the injury during Chelsea FC’s 1-0 loss to Manchester City.
The 30-year-old has found his first-team opportunities limited this term after falling behind Danish starlet Andreas Christensen in the pecking order.
The same article states that Luiz is optimistic that he will be ready to feature against Tottenham in the Premier League on 1 April after the international break.
Luiz has started nine games and has made one substitute appearance in the Premier League this season.
The Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge despite Luiz being an integral part of Antonio Conte’s title-winning side last term.
The Blues are in fifth place in the Premier League table and four points adrift of Tottenham in the race to secure a top-four spot.
Chelsea FC signed Ross Barkley, Emerson Palmieri and Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window.
